A lot of what works in this story pulls from the brilliant and wacky performances just as much as the story, weird worldbuilding (what's Lynks Disease? Don't even ask), and the production design details. Robby Rackleff plays the family's patriarch and he is particularly effective in building the overall tension of the piece. His role couldn't be more crucial, and he meets the moment with a fierce intensity that really forces the audience to become intimately familiar with the terror this family is facing. Although this area specifically appeals to millennial hipsters, it still attracts a diverse mix of young adults. This area provides easy access to DTLA and Hollywood and surrounding neighborhoods like Echo Park and Angelino Heights, which is great for commuting and checking out the latest in these areas. This LA neighborhood is famous for offering views of the Verdugo Mountains and beautiful parks like Brand Park and, of course, Griffith Park on its border.
This home feels the most private in the sense that all of the other homes on the list are easily visible from the street and sidewalk. In this case, you do have to walk to the gate in order to see the house. At least, that’s what This House Has People In It has to say.
I have visited the house for free on two different occasions. You can visit it for free on the Museums of the Arroyo Day or during the City of Pasadena’s ArtNight.
